How Fling it Girl™ Works

Steps to get started:

Fling it Girl is what you make it. You do not need to sign up to view Fling it girl, however if you want to submit your own stories or make comments on stories you must be a registered user.

1) Click on join (top right of page) and proceed to setup your login id and password.

2) Once logged in you will be able customize your profile, add an avatar, contact info and other stuff. All information, excluding you private email, is viewable by registered and non-registered users so do not fill out anything that you do not want others to have access to.

3) Now you are set to explore and be an active member (Fling Star) of the Fling it Girl community. Start submitting, viewing, and commenting on Top/Fresh Flings.

411: Fling it Girl works likes this: you go to your favorite fashion websites and select stories you would like to share on Fling it Girl. Copy the complete URL of the story then click 'submit yours' on the top right of Fling it Girl and insert the URL address. Or for an easier way place our Fling it Girl Bookmarklet in your browser's tool bar so you can Fling as you check out sites. When you are viewing the story you like you simply click the bookmarklet and this will bring the url/title onto the submission page. Once you have inserted the URL you will need to make sure the title is what you want it to be then describe the story. You can upload a picture to go with your submission or you can choose not to include one. Tag your story so that viewers can find your submission easily. After you have filled out everything you can preview your submission, if it looks good click submit. After clicking submit it will appear at the top of the Fresh Flings section.

Top Flings and Fresh Flings:

A submission stays in the Fresh Flings section until it's popularity ranking hits a certain number, when it hits that number, it is sent to the top of the front page. It is now considered a Top Fling. The most current submission to the Top Flings section will be seen at the very top of the page. That is why sometimes on the front page you will see submissions with more votes than what is up at the #1 slot.

What you can do with the submission?

At the bottom of every submission there are some cool looking icons with some actions you can take.

  Discuss: click this to leave a comment about the story.

  Share it! This allows you to bookmark and share the submission.

  Email your friends this story. Allows you to email up to 3 friends.
